Soga Shohaku
Today we have a special announcement to deliver: our very own second temporary exhibit is not open and will remain open until September 30th.
We’re very glad to show you the amazing art of Soga Shōhaku, the prolific and influential Japanese painter of the Edo period. Shōhaku distinguished himself from his contemporaries by preferring the brush style of the Muromachi period, an aesthetic that was already passé 150 years before his birth and helped lead him to be considered one of the “three eccentric” painters of his time.
So, please, come and visit our temporary exhibit. You are all invited to enjoy this extremely talented artist.
